The Department of Mechanical Engineering at MVSR Engineering College is one of the oldest and core departments of the institution, established in 1981, the year of the college's inception. The department offers a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering and a postgraduate program in M.E. (CAD/CAM), catering to the evolving needs of industry, research, and higher education.
With a strong emphasis on fundamentals, design, manufacturing, and emerging technologies, the department has consistently produced competent engineers who excel in industry, academia, and research. In recognition of its academic excellence and quality standards, the B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) program has been provisionally accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in 2002, 2007, 2013, and 2018, reflecting the department's sustained commitment to quality education.
